Telehouse has expanded its Cloud portfolio into Vietnam, with the launch of a Cloud Virtual Private Server (VPS) service in the country.

This cloud offering is associated with the company's flagship Cloud product dubbed TeleCloud, Telehouse and KDDI’s (telecom and ICT parent) portfolio of enterprise Cloud solutions deployed within its Telehouse London site.  The Cloud VPS service aims to provide customers with a cost-effective, scalable and secure outlay for data storage and management.

Customers will be able to access a dedicated, separate virtual server, which can be edited and configured to the end-users desired requirements, with the ability to host a range of applications, all at significant cost savings.

“ Vietnam has experienced real growth in its ICT sector particularly with the introduction and adoption of Cloud computing," said Hiroshi Kobayashi, managing director, Telehouse and KDDI Europe.

According to research house Gartner, the Cloud sector is growing at a rate of 17 per cent year-on-year, amounting to $2.4bn USD, with projections suggesting it will hit $8.1bn USD by 2013.

"Asia, and particularly Vietnam, represents huge potential for growth with experts stating the market could increase in size by four times its current amount by 2015, with 2012 on course to see a 50 per cent growth rate of cloud adoption," said Kobayashi.
