Martha Jefferson Hospital of Charlottesville, Virginia, has long relied on its heterogenous environment to store its growing data. Over time the hospital has experienced delays in completing backups have become cumbersome, with ineffective troubleshooting because of finger pointing.

The Hospital replaced its multi-vendor environment with an IBM solution comprised of STORServer EZ Backup appliance, an IBM System Storage TS3500 Tape Library configuration, and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager software.

This is their story.
