Cosmos Bank partners with Sanovi

DELHI - Cosmos Cooperative Bank, an urban cooperative bank with presence in 21 major cities in five states, has partnered with Sanovi Technologies, a service provider of disaster recovery management and business continuity space.
Sanovi offers solutions to proactively manage disaster recovery (DR) environments to ensure that business applications can be recovered in compliance with service level agreements. As an independent provider of DR management software solutions, Sanovi is poised on ensuring recovery readiness.
Cosmos bank has opted to deploy their DR solutions using Sanovi's out-of-box DR template for Oracle database. The Sanovi solution covers industry best practices, recovery workflows, monitors and alerts on over 40 conditions and provides out-of-box automation to do DR drills. Without additional investment in resources, the bank is able to achieve their DR Readiness SLAs with the confidence that their core banking application can withstand any DR issues successfully.
"Cosmos Bank's management considers its investment in technology as an opportunity to differentiate and provide superior customer experience. The bank implemented Finacle as its core banking software and hence the central database and applications became a critical part of the bank's business continuity and Disaster Recovery plan," said Mr. Prashant Thakur, GM-IT, Cosmos Cooperative Bank. " To meet business set Recovery Point and Recovery Time Objectives, the bank chose to have a remote site that shadows the primary production site."
The bank's IT articulated their DR requirements as a comprehensive approach to the various phases of the DR Lifecycle including monitoring, automation of recovery, DR Drills and compliance reporting. The bank did not want to invest in DR specific expertise. "Cosmos Bank's IT team understood Sanovi's value and evaluated the software early on as part of their DR design. Sanovi DRM software was a great fit that gave the bank the required visibility and the automation that reduced their dependence on expertise being always available", said Mr. P P Subramanian, President & CEO, Sanovi Technologies.
